Vajikarana is one of the branch of Ashtanaga ayurveda. Vajikarana is made up with two words, vaji and karan. <b>Vaji mean horse and karan mean power<\/b>, together its meaning is drug which on consumption give power of sex and work like horse. This modern life apart from medicine and yoga, Rasayana and vajikarana also important. Ayurveda has detail description of vajikarana, which is useful for human being.<\/p>\n<h2 data-aos=\"fade-up\">Definition<\/h2>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-aos=\"fade-right\">Rasayana which increases the quality of <b>sexual or reproductive organ<\/b> is termed vajikarana. The word vaji means a \u2018horse\u2019 and the horse have prominent sex organ and associated with powerful sexual vigour.<\/p>\n<h2 data-aos=\"fade-up\">Classification<\/h2>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-aos=\"fade-right\">The medicines used for <b>Vajikara\u1e47a may be classified in 4 groups<\/b> &#8211; Sukrala, SukraRecaka, SukraStambhaka and SukraSo\u1e63aka.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-aos=\"fade-right\"><b>1. Sukrala :<\/b> The drugs which causes qualitative and quantitative increase in the Sukra (sperm) are known as Sukrala. The drugs like Asvagandha, Musali, Sarkara, Satavari belong to this group. These drugs are useful for aspermatogenesis (absence of sperm in semen) and oligospermia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-aos=\"fade-right\"><b>2. SukraRecaka :<\/b> The drugs which help in ejaculation of semen may be known as SukraRecaka. The B\u1e5bhati-fruit and women belong to this group. These are useful for the conditions like aspermia. Milk, Ma\u1e63a, Bhallataka-fruit pulp, Amalaki-fruit etc. are both Sukrala and SukraRecaka.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-aos=\"fade-right\"><b>3. SukraStambhaka :<\/b> The drugs which increase the time of sexual intercourse are known as SukraStambhaka. The drug belongs to this group is Jatiphala. The best indication of these drugs is premature ejaculation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-aos=\"fade-right\"><b>4. SukraSo\u1e63aka :<\/b> The drugs which dry the semen may be known as SukraSosaka. Haritaki belongs to this group.<\/p>\n<h2 data-aos=\"fade-up\">Benefits of Vajikarana<\/h2>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-aos=\"fade-right\">Charak Samhita lays down the following benefits of Vajikarana therapy<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-aos=\"fade-right\">\u2022 Increases time span of erections<br \/>\u2022 Rejuvenates sexual and reproductive energy<br \/>\u2022 Prevents premature ejaculation<br \/>\u2022 Helps in erectile dysfunction<br \/>\u2022 Improves fertility<br \/>\u2022 Provides yasha, bala, shri, and pushti to an individual<br \/>\u2022 Increases will power, intellect and memory<\/p>\n<h2 data-aos=\"fade-up\">Good Diet for sex organ<\/h2>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-aos=\"fade-right\"><b>\u2022 Pulses :<\/b> udid, mung, tur, til.<br \/><b>\u2022 Cereals :<\/b> rice, wheat, java.<br \/><b>\u2022 Milk product :<\/b> ghee, cream, cream of curds.<br \/><b>\u2022 Fruits :<\/b> dried black grapes, jardalu, pista.<br \/><b>\u2022 Meat :<\/b> chicken, fish, eggs<br \/><b>\u2022 Salts :<\/b> saindhava.<\/p>\n<h2 data-aos=\"fade-up\">Who should not consume Vajikarana preparations?<\/h2>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-aos=\"fade-right\">As per Ayurveda, it is recommended that the <b>person below 17 years of age and more than 70 years of age<\/b> should not consume Vajikarana preparations. These preparations have to be consumed by \u201cjitendriya purusha\u201d or man who has control on his senses and desires. If Vajikarana preparations are consumed by \u201cajitendriya purusha\u201d or man who has lost control over his senses and desire, he may prove harmful to society.<\/p>\n<h2 data-aos=\"fade-up\">Result<\/h2>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-aos=\"fade-right\">Sex is also important need like food for every animals, human also not exception to that. In present era human cross the all limit for sex and due to this, he suffering from variety of new disease. There is need of Sex to all, but it have some rule. Ayurved has prevention and curative aspect. In vajikarana part, Ayurved told us all details related to sex. Modern science just told us medicine to increase stamina of sex, <b>while Ayurved give rule and drugs related to pre and post sex<\/b>. Ayurved which is our ancient science which fulfill all need related to sex.<\/p>\n<h2 data-aos=\"fade-up\">CONCLUSION<\/h2>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-aos=\"fade-right\">Vajikaran is an important treatment modality as per Ayurveda and proposed benefits are manifold including increased sexual capacity, improving health of future progeny as well as in treatment of many common sexual disorders like infertility, erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-aos=\"fade-right\">Differences in the philosophical base of the Ayurvedic science and modern medical science results into inability of effective collaboration between these researchers and practitioners. Lack of research as per current scientific standards is the main criticism of vajikaran. Lack of standardization of formulations and difficulty in getting unadulterated herbs are realistic intricacies in the utility of vajikaran preparations.
